All The Finer Details

Here is the information you'll need to help you decide if Interplanetary (Time Test/Sirani) is the future young stayer that may win you the Melbourne or Caulfield Cup in the coming seasons as a 4,5 or 6 year-old gelding. There are now four smaller shares available in 10%, 5% and 2.5% units, in this established racing syndicate of ten owners. Don't wait opportunities like this don't come up often!

 Overview

Interplanetary is a 3 year-old colt (now gelding) that was purchased from the Karaka yearling sales to target the 2025 NZ Derby. Following a nine start campaign he made the field and ran an unlucky 10th over 2400m on championships day at Ellerslie behind Willidoit. At the 600m mark he was building into the race quickly but was hampered losing momentum. Again, at the 400m mark he was held up behind a tiring Grey Fluke, picking up his feet he battled home, with a cleaner run he could have easily run to five.

Race Replay Ellerslie 2200m

This 3 year old is spelling at Highline Thoroughbreds in Cambridge following his Derby campaign with Shaun Clothworthy, he has settled in very well and will have a long well deserved break in the paddock. AKA 'Mick' is very relaxed individual who is great doer and strong eater. He has been spelling for only 3 weeks and is already growing and physically improving. We expect him to get to 16.1 and a weight of 520kg in the spring.

This gelding will be set for a short spring 4-year old campaign in New Zealand, where he will target a handful of 1600m-2200m races at Rating 65 level. The goal will be get his NZ rating up to 72 and then spell him over summer, sending him to Sydney around mid February. Following pre-training at Thenfold farm in the Hunter Valley we would have him in Joe's stable and racing from May 2026 through the winter, hopefully racing through the grades and building up to a rating 90 level.

Owners, this a great opportunity to buy a share in a proven NZ stayer that has shown ability on the racetrack running home in 33.84 the day he won at Te Aroha over 2200m. Also, he was 2.5 lengths off the winner Mustang Morgan in the 3 year-old 2200m Slaver at Ellerslie.

Please note, other syndicators are selling shares in European imports for 4 times the price, this is your chance to buy into an international pedigree locally who is by chance out of an imported Galileo mare.

The Horse Himself

Interplanetary is an amazing looking horse with a lot of Galileo about him. He will develop into a cracking physical older horse and be more competitive over ground as he matures in the coming six months, a very tractable racehorse which is helped by the way quickly drops the bit and relaxes in his races. We'll imagine he’ll be an easy one to transfer into the Sydney racing scene, following a similar pathway as our other two geldings Arraignment and Mach Schnell did - that both crossed the Tasman with great success and were trained by Joe Pride.
