Overview
This horse has arrived in Sydney and to be trained by Joe Pride. He is destined for a Spring 3-year old campaign in Australia, looking for qualification into the Karaka Million or Kiwi Slot race from over the ditch.

He was pre-trained with Sarah and Conor Fahy at Pukekohe up to early December 2024, where he had an 820m jump-out and won by 1.5 lengths. Prior to that, he also had a 600m jump-out at Ellerslie on September 2024, running second by half a length. He breaths and moves very well. He has no reported physical issues from his track jockeys and pre-trainer.

The Horse Himself

To sum this horse up, I would say he is very, very professional. If he was an actor he would play the part as the next James Bond (or Jackel). He is naturally quick out of the gates and a lovely ride. He has a strong action and has run dead straight, right through the line in his jump-outs to date. A natural athletic type, with a big rear end where most of his power comes from.

Conformation wise he is perfect. He will grow to about 16.1 hands and sit at 500-505kg racing weight. His joints and legs are perfectly boned and most of all, he has a lovely relaxed walk and uses himself very well.

He is described as a lovely ride by Conor Fahy who broke him in initially and who pre-trained him. He won’t be big and heavy as a 3 year old and his early balanced top-line will assist early racing when he comes up a couple of centimetres in front. Most of all, he has a lovely profile and is mentally sound.
Why Did Kingmakers Buy Him?

This 2 year old gelding was bought from Karaka's Book 2 Yearling Sale. It is the same sale Kingmakers Founder, Leighton Howl, bought Group 3 performer Lupo Soltario from the year prior. He is interestingly bred, and is out of a young Proisir mare who won at 2 years of age at Te Rapa and also ran in the 2 year old Matamata Breeders for an unlucky 5th. She herself seemed to be looking for 1400m in her limited five race career. We think this new genetic cross may produce a quality racehorse out of this young mare who went early, winning her first start in style.
