Onboarding New Owners
A five minute online form gives us a clear outline around what racing fans want from their equine investment, like targeted races, timelines, budgets, and personal motivations.
A Kingmakers’ Director & Racing Manager will introduce themselves and book in a one-to-one consultation over the phone after receiving details.
Kingmakers meet every potential new owner to discuss more their racing interests, industry associations, investment levels and ambitions, in greater depth.
Aligning Owners' Ambitions

Personalised Owner On-boarding
We put owners first so we want to know the type of horse you want to race? And what big race do you dream of winning? Maybe a NZ Derby or Oaks? The Golden Eagle? Or maybe one of the big cup races in Melbourne?
Our initial online registration will start to paint the picture. We’ll then meet one-on-one to talk plans, and possible purchases prior to sales ring. By helping early, with upfront advice from our extensive experience, we can head to the sales to buy a horse that’s fit for purpose.
Before we buy any horses at a sale, we lock in the first few key owners per syndicate with racing dreams aligned.
The days of racing any horse to win any old race are over. It sounds loose and it’s the start of a bad investment.
Too often thoroughbreds are bought and resold without aligning the vision or goals of the principal owner and ownership group. Owners can find themselves invested in random horses with no strategic race plans, resulting in the horse sitting in the paddock for 6 months. Other syndicate owners might have conflicting visions for the horse's future. This chaotic approach is compounded by a lack of understanding of a horse's pedigree. It's all a bit loose, and leading to a haphazard training plan, and ultimately undermining the horse's potential.
Kingmakers is cleaning things up with a clear direction from the beginning, with all owners informed on what the horse’s goal is before buying it in the sales ring. Kingmakers makes sure there’s a firm plan.
With goals focused and interests aligned, we’ll all be off to a flyer.
