THE FOUNDER'S VIEWPOINT

Involving everyone at the horse sales

Potential new owners are usually excluded from sales across Australasia, often not encouraged to attend, receiving post-sale emails at best. If they do get there they’ll wander sales complexes, struggling to connect with trainers and syndicators who are having their own fun. This environment of exclusivity means the new race horse owner misses out on the first step of selection and purchase.

Kingmakers new sales day experience plans to take owners to the start line. From late January, across the many Summer and Autumn sales, horses are pre-selected, vetted, bid on and purchased and our new owners are invited, represented and of courser by our side.

We’ll bring together the Principal Owner and at least two other owners from each new syndicate. The day will start with a early breakfast briefing and we’ll go over ‘the list’ of key lots for the day. Astute advice will also be served around each horse we like with a guest bloodstock agent.

As Kingmakers Director & Racing Manager I will greet new owners who register online before the sales. And at the sales take them to various stud farm vendors during the day to view the horses under consideration in live parades. Meet stud farm managers, enjoy hospitality and networking.

We’ll celebrate the completion of any key purchase with a drink and follow that with another on completion of the sale with all new owners who got themselves involved.
