On Saturday 1 February, Kingmakers will debut its brand new jockey silks with Kevin Stott, riding on race favourite, Interplanetary.
Jockey silks are paramount in identifying your horse, within a wall of horses, going down the back straight. They are also your brand in motion, so with a name like Kingmakers, syndicating horses for a sport of kings, heritage was always going to be an important consideration when choosing eye-catching colours. By going with greens, we wanted to stand out from the seas of blues you often come across on track. It’s a serene, yet modern colour that’s timeless, complemented by a selection of vibrant accent colours inspired by fashion. Together, these colours create a balanced and versatile palette, ensuring the brand feels both enduring and on-trend.
The front and back of our silks display the Kingmakers' logo - the wreath. The wreath is crowned by the principal owner – the kingmaker – and is seamlessly connected with the nine other syndicate owners, to create a team of 10. The principal owner is also recognised by having their name printed on the chest – a first for New Zealand and Australian racing.
Kingmakers is here to change the game and elevate racing. By bringing a customer-first approach to syndication, we’re aiming to transform tradition.
